Finding a sunscreen that works well with your skin can be a challenge, especially when looking for something lightweight, hydrating, and comfortable under makeup.

After trying a few options, I’ve found some winners and others that didn’t quite make the cut. Here’s a quick breakdown!

1. Hada Labo Perfect UV Gel

Texture: Despite the name, it’s more of a creamy lotion. Leaves a slight white cast.

Pros: Contains hyaluronic acid, hydrating, provides a sticky base that works well under makeup.

Cons: Has an unpleasant scent, and leaves skin dewy and oily.

2. Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Probiotics Sunscreen

Texture: Thin and lightweight, feels like a moisturizer, leaving a natural sheen.

Pros: No scent, no white cast, very moisturizing, excellent base for makeup. This has quickly become my favorite sunscreen ever! Affordable and effective.

Cons: Hard to find in stores; mostly available online.

3. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel

Texture: Gel-based, more watery than the others.

Pros: Can be used on face and body, no white cast.

Cons: Has a strong scent and can leave skin feeling oily and sticky despite its lightweight, gel texture.

Choosing the right sunscreen doesn’t have to be complicated. Of the ones I’ve tried, Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Probiotics stands out as the most hydrating, lightweight, and comfortable for daily use, especially under makeup. While the other options have their merits, this one truly checks all the boxes for well-protected, glowing skin without any fuss!
